Top 10 Things I Am Looking Forward to in 2017!
Although 1/4 of 2017 is now passed, I still wanted to share with you the Top 10 things I am looking forward to in 2017!
10) Background Acting Opportunities In & Around Toronto
2016 opened a new chapter for me. I became a background actor AKA an extra for Television Shows (i.e. Designated Survivor) & Feature Films (i.e. DownSizing). I am excited for the opportunities to come in 2017.
9) Travelling - Across Canada, the USA & Globally
Last year I did some travelling, which I have always looked forward to and enjoy, ever since I was a kid. Whether it is for business or family I love it! I hope to be doing more of both this year!
8) Abilities Expo - Toronto
This was a great innagural event. It show cased alot of various products and services for persons with different abilities. I look forward to attending it again in 2018, when it promises to be bigger and better!
7) TEDxToronto Conference 2017
As I discussed in my last blog post, attending TEDxToronto in 2016 was a 'Live List' item. BUT, it was only half of a whole. I will be applying for and hoping to be accepted to speak at this years' conference!
6) Volunteering for Invictus Games 2017 - Toronto
I am really looking forward to this event. I had a great time volunteering for the Para-Pan Am Games in the summer of 2015, and suspect the experiences & people I will meet will be just as fullfilling in September 2017. I am still awaiting confirmation as to the volunteer role I will be assigned to.

5) The Accessible Planet: Are We There Yet? - Documentary
Behind the scenes I have been working on a passion project. It is going to be a documentary looking at how accessibility is viewed and how it should be viewed across the world. The documentary is going to evolve in phases. Phase I is going to be concentrating on Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario as a province. Keep a close eye on this blog and all my other social media channels to find out updates about this project as they come.
4) Canada's 150 Anniversary Celebrations
I am so proud to be Canadian! This year is the 150 anniversary of when Canada was formed as a country. I am looking forward to making plans with family & friends to go to Ottawa to be a part of the Canada Day celebrations there this year! Want to join in? Know of a big group going from Toronto to Ottawa for Canada Day? Get in touch!
3) Facilitating Year 2 of Work Hard, Play Harder - Toronto
The first year of Work Hard, Play Harder - Toronto was a hit. People enjoyed the MasterMind Meals, that helped them out with questions they had for their businesses through the valuable conversations they had during the meal. The attendees having the opportunities to relax & network with like-minded entrepreneurs before, during and after the Block Buster movies, was also appreciated and was harolded as a "unique" & "refreshing way to network in Toronto. 1) Walk for Values - Toronto - 2017
This is an event that happens once a year and typically takes place in downtown Toronto. It is hosted by the Sathya Sai School of Canada. The focus of the walk is to raise the level of conciousness in society of the lack of basic Human Values being practiced in it. It is a day long even that is very family oriented. I am excited to be hosting it from the main stage! This year it is happening on Sunday, May 28th, 2017. http://www.walkforvalues.com/locations/participating-cities/toronto/
